The movie I Am Love follows Emma Recchi (Tilda Swinton), a Russian-born woman living a wealthy, unfulfilled life with her industrialist husband in Milan. Her life changes when she begins a passionate affair with Antonio, a talented young chef and her son's friend, which leads to family collapse and tragedy.
