In 1930's Hollywood, the influential agent, Phil Stern, finds himself at a lavish party when he receives an urgent call from his sister in New York. She pleads for assistance in finding a job for her son, Bobby, who has recently relocated to Tinseltown. Following their conversation, Phil arranges a meeting with Bobby and decides to lend him a helping hand.
He tasks his secretary, Veronica "Vonnie," with showing Bobby around the city's iconic landmarks. As Bobby becomes smitten with Vonnie, she reveals that she's involved with a journalist who is often away on assignment. Unbeknownst to Bobby, Vonnie's beau is a married man torn between his obligations and his affection for her. As the tangled web of love and loyalty unfolds, Vonnie finds herself torn between two conflicting loves, forcing her to confront her heart's true desires amidst the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's golden age.
